Updates 11/03/2025

Okay, first things first: so far, Ding Dong Ditch Thanksgiving has been more of a success than I honestly thought it would! So thank you so much to everyone who has donated, and everyone who has signed up!! I honestly figured I would have gotten maybe one family to sign up, if any and I have had a total of six families and it's only November 3rd! And honestly, the donations that came in on launch day blew me away!! So again, thank you everyone for everything!

And now for the update....while I have slowly continued to receive families signing up for help getting a Thanksgiving dinner, both locally and out of town, the kicker is that I have not received a single donation since we launched about a week ago. As it stands right now, the only way I can make it work is if I stop accepting sign ups and each family gets about $50 towards their Thanksgiving dinner (or $50 worth of groceries, for local families).

I definitely don't want to have to stop accepting sign ups, so as much as I hate to do this, I really need help. Please please please, even if ya'll can only spare $5, it would really help and at the very least, share share share share share!! Share the website, or the GoFundMe directly, either is fine! And get creative with it! Make a video and tag me in the caption, along with a link to the website! I originally wanted to make a video of me with my daughter and my nephews "ding dong ditching" the house. Have fun with it!

And the last update today, I have TWO gift cards packaged and ready to go out to two of the families who signed up! That means that two families who have lost their SNAP benefits due to this extremely unserious administration in office that is refusing to feed American citizens and is therefore playing political games with our very lives, will now be able to afford Thanksgiving dinner for their family, thanks to us! We did this together! Thank you to everyone who has shared and/or donated!

Together, we are unstoppable.
